COMME DES GARÇONS
Founded in Tokyo in 1969 by Rei Kawakubo, Comme des Garçons is one of the most influential Japanese fashion houses, known for deconstruction, unconventional silhouettes, and a constant refusal of trends.
Rather than a single label, it works as a creative ecosystem with distinct lines: Homme (1978, first chapter of men's clothing), tricot (1981, women's clothing line focused on knitwear) robe de chambre (1981, women's “everyday” clothing, which became Comme des Garçons Comme des Garçons in 2004), Homme Plus (1984, men's runway clothing line), Homme Deux (1987, elegant and tailored men's clothing), Shirt (1988, shirts, but not only), BLACK (2008, launched during the financial crisis, continued thanks to strong demand)
