This shirt is part of the exclusive “Pleats Please Travel Through the Planet” collection, a collaborative photo project by renowned designer Issey Miyake and photographer Yuriko Takagi. Between 1995 and 1999, the project was realized across various regions including Kenya, China, India, and Morocco, where Takagi captured local communities wearing Miyake’s garments. The series celebrates a raw and honest beauty, emphasizing the deep connection between people and their natural surroundings.
